Study abroad can be surprisingly affordable if you plan well, and often your existing financial aid will transfer. In addition, to help students afford study abroad, ISDSI charges a comprehensive fee so that there are no “hidden” or “extra” fees and costs that you have to pay once you arrive.
When comparing the costs of study abroad, many programs will make students pay for the cost of local travel, food, books, readers, and more. We’ve been on financial aid and put ourselves through college — there are no hidden costs once you arrive in Thailand.
OUR COMPREHENSIVE FEE INCLUDES:
- Tuition
- Housing
- In-country books/readers
- Program related travel in Thailand
- Program related food (on expeditions, etc.)
- Monthly cash stipend for food not covered on expeditions
THE only things our FEE DOES NOT COVER are THE FOLLOWING:
- Roundtrip airfare to Thailand
- Thai Visa
- Insurance (this may be paid for by your institution — check with your study abroad office)
- Any personal clothing or gear you might need for your semester
- If your school requires a US university transcript, our partner is the University of Minnesota and they charge a $450 transcript fee.
