ISDSI Students Turned CrossFitters

It’s not a far walk from the door of ISDSI, across the small driveway to the tennis courts, and into the huge tent that holds Chiang Mai CrossFit, but it was still enough time for some of the students to ponder just what they had gotten themselves into.  Thankfully, Coach Barry was ready to take on the 27 ISDSI students, no matter their current fitness level, and start preparing them for the physically demanding expeditions to come.  Here are a few photos from the first workout for the ISDSI Fall 2014 students…

photo 1With the students working in pairs, this was the first half of the students getting ready to start…photo 2 The students each had to complete a series of running, squats, push-ups and sit-ups.

photo 3With the workout done, Coach Barry showed the students how to use a foam roller.

photo 5We enjoyed seeing the students put their all into their first workout at CrossFit Chiang Mai, and especially cheer each other on.  It’s this mixture of trying their hardest and working as a team that will get the group through the physically demanding expeditions throughout the semester.
